Since 2013, I've been immersed in the dramatic arts. I'm currently working as both music director and managing director for New Place Players, a Shakespeare theater company based in NYC. So far, we've produced Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Tempest, Othello, and most recently The Masque of Night, a Romeo & Juliet cabaret.

The soundtracks have become a combination of songs (from Elizabethan to contemporary, plus a few originals), live sound design, and – a part of our creative work that has grown with time – live incidental, improvised music that is both driven by the iambic pentameter and the rhythm of the actors, as well as influencing their psychology, their world.

In that context, I've been developing my craft as a music producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, sound designer and developer of software instruments. By the nature of the trade, I've also engaged in acting (lately playing the Prince and Friar Lawrence in Romeo & Juliet), while all along continuing to contribute as a pedagogue and arts administrator.
